Ostia Antica (Ancient Ostia) is an archaeological site located around 40 km from the city center of Rome and about three km away from the beach of Ostia. It is an idea for a short day trip from Rome.

Founded in the 7th century BC, Ostia was the harbor of Ancient Rome.

The splendid “Coast of Circe” (including promontory of Circeo) is around 120 km South of Rome, midway with Naples. The towns of Sperlonga and Terracina along the coastline are rich of archaeological sites dating back to Etruscan and Roman age.
